About The Golden KOW

The Story Behind The Golden KOW

Every piece you find here began as an idea — rooted in the rich soil of Natchez, Mississippi, and brought to life by hand. I'm Kristen Oaks White, the artist and maker behind The Golden KOW, and I'm so glad you're here.

Where It All Begins

Natchez is one of the oldest cities on the Mississippi River, and its layers — the grandeur, the gardens, the stories handed down through generations — have shaped everything I create. My work is an homage to that heritage: lush florals, celebratory motifs, and the kind of beauty that feels both timeless and deeply personal.

Growing up surrounded by that history, I couldn't help but carry it forward. The Golden KOW is my way of keeping those threads alive and sharing them with people who appreciate things made with intention.

How Each Piece Is Made

Everything in this shop is one of a kind. I work by hand — no production lines, no duplicates. Each piece begins with a sketch or a feeling, then moves through a slow, careful process of layering, refining, and finishing until it feels exactly right. I use a mix of traditional techniques and my own instincts, shaped by years of practice and a deep love for the craft.

Because each piece is made individually, what you receive is truly yours alone.
